A community of students for engagement in writing activities so teachers can assist students in the writing process from Brainstorming to a controlled Publication. Provide your own writing topic, locate one for the entire class, or allow your students to choose one based on interest. Collaborate with other students in the classroom and those around the world. Receive feedback from teacher, students, and other community members.

Free application that allows students to talk, text, and picture message from any device in a controlled, safe environment. Each student has their own username and password to connect with classroom users. Ability to use google e-mail with contacts of students only and teacher. Chat rooms can be created for study groups, literature circles, and more. Allowing teacher to be in each one of the groups to monitor and help discussions. Students can stay connected to their classmates outside of the classroom for further learning. The opportunities are endless!
Language Arts
Grade Level: K - 5
The website mystorybook.com is an interactive book writing program that allows young learners to write, illustrate, and publish their own stories. Students can create characters, add backgrounds, and insert text to enhance their stories. The program has a very simple layout with intuitive function buttons that are easy to navigate. Students can be up and running with a minimum of teacher instruction, and the format is suitable for small group or pair collaboration as well.
Kahoot! is an online question generation program teachers can use to set up formative or summative quizzes to test students’ knowledge. The program can be used to pre-test what students already know, during a lesson, or as a review at the end of a unit. It provides a fun and interactive way to engage students in their learning
A great website that allows students to create their own study notes, play games together based on the notes, and take practice tests to assure themselves that they understand the information.

Grade Level K-6
E-Learning for kids has interactive lessons for a variety of subjects. Students choose a lesson by topic then as they go through lesson they students do activities that allow kids to apply what they learned.
Spelling, reading, math, science Grade Level Pre-K through 5th
This website offers educational games for students sorted by grade level. There are also game categories under each grade that focus on letters, numbers, holidays, and skills. There is also a section under Parent/Teacher that you can look up what games correlate to what Common Core Standard. This is cute and fun and age appropriate for young students. It has easy navigation.
Language Arts - Writing Grade Level 3-12
This is an essay writing program that helps students learn structure, spelling, grammar, organization, and critical thinking about feedback. Students learn collaboration by offering feedback on each other's essays. There are tutorials available for students struggling with any concept in the curriculum. The program has the student practice by submitting drafts, getting feedback and then revising the draft before submitting a final essay. I will use this program to help students collaborate and learn to offer feedback. I plan to have them find ideas, organize their thoughts, and write a rough draft before signing into the program. I will use the program to help them see different ways organize their ideas.

This website allows users to move through subjects at their own pace. It also offers a variety of concepts and different methods of understanding the desired concepts. It is beneficial to all ages. There are fun animations included in the different lessons taught. An all around great website.
Unique Heart Rate Monitor
Physical Education Grade Level 9-12
This is an app that will record an individuals heart rate by using a smart phone and the tip of their finger. It saves the results and records their resting, exercising, and post workout heart rate. It also tells you where you are at on the fitness level.
Google Arts and Culture
Grade Level 6-12
The App lets students search different periods of art, specific artists, and look at current events among other art and culture related topics. It is provided completely free from google and will customize itself based on search history and favorites.
Spelling Grade Level K - 2
Interactive spelling with easy navigation. Focuses on chunks and how they fit in larger words. Students drag letters to match up with the words, they receive audio of the letter name and sound. The app then spells the word and says the word, followed by a short video clip that covers the definition of the word and an example of the definition. If students complete enough words they get to interact with a virtual pet.
Math and ELA Grade Level K-8
This is a math and English language arts application that allows students to work at their own pace. The application tailors a program based on what level the student is currently at. Students are given manipulative, a white board and tutorials to help them along the way. They are rewarded with coins for correct answers and can spend the coins in the avatar store. I will use this program to help solidify concepts presented in class.

This app can be used for any grade level.
This app allows teachers to stay connected with their student's parents/guardians. It also allows students to stay in tune with their grades, along with creating their own personalized portfolios.

Prodigy is a game based learning app. In the application, students go about a wizardry theme world battling other players. For students to battle, they have to answer math questions. The questions increase and decrease with difficulty based students answers.
